This presentation-grade Quilted Maple stave snare combines a warm, balanced maple foundation with the added body of a 7-inch depth. The 3/8-inch shell and die-cast hoops create a focused, controlled response while preserving the versatility that makes maple a dependable primary-snare material. It is designed to deliver clean articulation, useful sensitivity and enough weight for a confident backbeat across a broad range of settings.
The natural high-gloss finish leaves the quilted figure fully visible, allowing the wood's three-dimensional movement to define the shell. Custom Antique Brushed Black Nickel hardware creates an understated contrast, while iridescent Pāua Shell inlays add shifting blue, green and violet detail across the medium spear-point lugs and port hole. Royalton's lugs are CNC-milled from aircraft-grade aluminum and individually appointed. Handcrafted in the USA as a one-of-one instrument.
