This presentation-grade Quilted Maple stave snare pairs maple's familiar warmth and balance with the focused control of die-cast hoops. The versatile 6.5-inch depth provides enough body for a full backbeat while preserving the sensitivity and tuning flexibility that make maple a dependable all-purpose choice. The 3/8-inch shell ensures a rounded fundamental and clear articulation, making this drum equally comfortable in the studio or onstage.
The shell is dyed deep red and protected with a high-gloss finish that intensifies the three-dimensional movement of the quilted figure. A unique mixed-hardware aesthetic pairs satin-chrome medium spear-point lugs and a chrome throw-off with black-nickel die-cast hoops. Mother of Pearl inlays add a classic, iridescent detail across the lugs and port hole. Royalton's proprietary lugs are CNC-milled from solid aircraft-grade aluminum. Handcrafted in the USA as a one-of-one instrument.
