Macassar Ebony's exceptional density gives this 7 x 14 stave snare a fast, firm attack with a focused fundamental and strong projection. The 3/8-inch shell emphasizes definition, while the 7-inch depth adds enough body to keep the drum substantial rather than overly sharp. Die-cast hoops further control the response, producing a precise, authoritative instrument with a premium collector presentation.
The satin finish leaves Macassar Ebony's dramatic dark striping visible beneath an understated surface. Juma Black Dragon inlays add subtle texture to Royalton's medium spear-point lugs, while 24K gold-plated lugs and Black Dragon inlays create a striking contrast against the shell and black-nickel hoops. A solid-brass engraved badge completes the material palette. Royalton's proprietary lugs are CNC-milled from aircraft-grade aluminum before receiving their gold finish. Handcrafted in the USA as a one-of-one instrument.
