Built from exceptionally dense Cocobolo, this 7.5 x 14 stave snare combines a fast, commanding attack with the body and depth needed for a powerful main-snare voice. Cocobolo's hardness supports strong projection and clear upper-frequency definition, while the 7.5-inch shell adds weight beneath the initial strike. The result is a focused instrument designed to remain articulate under hard playing and in dense live mixes.
The high-gloss finish reveals Cocobolo's natural movement through yellow, orange, red and deep brown, broken by dramatic dark streaks. Black-chrome hardware lets the shell remain dominant, while Copper Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber inlays echo the warmer colors in the wood. Royalton's medium spear-point aluminum lugs are CNC-milled and individually appointed to complete the one-of-one design. Handcrafted in the USA.

Sonic Profile
-
Attack
Fast, commanding, and highly articulate. The exceptionally dense Cocobolo shell (2,960 lbf) delivers a sharp, immediate transient with strong projection, while the roundover edge fattens the strike just enough to keep it from being overly harsh.
-
Tone
Powerful, focused, and deep. A commanding hardwood voice that retains clear upper-frequency definition and cuts easily through dense live mixes.
-
Sustain
Controlled but weighty. The 7.5-inch depth provides lingering low-end support beneath the initial strike, while the roundover edges naturally tame the high-frequency ring typical of ultra-hard woods.
