Bocote's density gives this 6 x 14 stave snare a crisp, articulate response with strong projection and a clearly defined fundamental. The medium depth balances that attack with enough body for a full backbeat, making it a versatile option for players who prefer a focused hardwood voice without moving to an extra-deep shell. Its 20-strand wire setup adds a familiar balance between shell tone and snare presence.
The satin finish preserves Bocote's dramatic yellow-brown color and dark striping. Matching Bocote inlays are set into Royalton's medium spear-point lugs and port hole, allowing the shell material itself to become the primary decorative element. Custom Antique Brushed Black Nickel hardware provides a subdued frame for the wood. Each lug is CNC-milled from solid aircraft-grade aluminum. Handcrafted in the USA as a one-of-one Royalton instrument.
